ASWA announced all-state baseball team
Baker High School pitcher Tyler Minto was named Class 6A player of the year and Baker coach Bill Glover was named 6A coach of the year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
The duo headlines the 2006 ASWA All-State baseball team released Wednesday.

The Hornets rolled to their second straight 6A state baseball championship this season -- beating Clay-Chalkville in two straight games to win the title.
Caleb Clay, a Cullman hurler drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the first round Tuesday of the professional baseball draft, was named 5A player of the year, and Hank Furlow of Stanhope Elmore was chosen 5A coach of the year.
