Blue collects first offer

P.J. Blue, 2016 linebacker from Jemison High School in Ala., received first offer on Thursday from an ACC power.
"Clemson offered me today," said Blue. "Coach Hobby came to my school. We met. He told me to come to their camp this summer.
"He then sent my transcript to Coach Swinney. Coach Swinney told him to go ahead and offer me after he saw it. Coach Hobby told me congrats. He told me I can be a big addition to their team in the future."
The offer from the Tigers caught Blue by surprise.
"I felt excited and surprised," he said. "I haven't really heard from Clemson. They haven't sent me many letters. It was really good to get an offer from them.
"I have always liked Clemson. They are an ACC powerhouse. It's a great school. They have a great football team. They are championship contenders. It would be great to go there."
Blue has seen a few other schools stop by this spring including in-state programs like Alabama and Auburn who wants to see him at camp this summer.
"Auburn came by yesterday," Blue said. "Mississippi State stopped by a few days ago. South Alabama also came by. Alabama came last week. Auburn said they are recruiting me as a safety. My head coach wasn't at the school the day Alabama stopped by, but they talked to his wife. They just want me to come to their camp this summer."
Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State are expressing heavy interest. Blue has early favorites which includes Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. However, he is open to all schools recruiting him.
Blue will attend camps at Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. He is also registered to compete in the Rivals Underclassmen Challenge in Jacksonville, Fla. in July.
