Player of the Week: Deonta Moore

Huntsville High School

The Panthers are off to a 2-0 start to the 2011 season thanks in large part to the offensive line led by Rivals100 member and Alabama commitment Grant Hill. The line paved the way for junior Deonta Moore Friday night. He chalked up 249 rushing yards on 25 attempts with two touchdowns in a 21-20 win against Grissom High School.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound standout performer is a name to watch this fall with several schools already showing interest. Moore rushed for 207 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns in his first game of the season. He is on pace to have a monster season.

Geoffrey Bramblett, quarterback, Locust Fort High School

The senior quarterback completed 30-of-49 pass attempts for 423 yards and three touchdowns in a 68-48 loss to Sardis. He also had 137 yards rushing on 20 carries and two more touchdowns. He recorded an interception on defense.

Tony Pee, running back, Sardis High School

Pee rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns in a 68-48 win against Locust Fort. He added 127 yards receiving and two touchdowns to his sensational performance.

Sean Anderson, linebacker, Abbeville High School

Anderson recorded 28 tackles in his team's 44-42 double overtime win against Geneva. Anderson had the game-winning tackle in the second overtime on a two-point conversion attempt to seal the victory.

Marquavius King, quarterback, Abbeville High School

King rushed for 167 yards on 24 carries in a 44-42 double overtime win against Geneva. He added 11-of-18 passing for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

Malik Rosier, running back, Faith Academy

Rosier amassed 201 yards rushing on 25 attempts and three touchdowns in a 42-28 win against Gulf Shores.

Jordan Chunn, running back, Madison County High School

Chunn rushed for 102 yards and had 101 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a 35-14 win against North Jackson. He also added 10 tackles on defense.

Rod Crayton, defensive lineman, Dadeville High School

The four-star lineman recorded 10 tackles, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in a 30-0 win against Elmore County.

Michael Leverette, defensive lineman, Millry High School

The lineman recorded a staggering seven sacks in a 46-25 win Friday night against Choctaw Academy.

Rance Gaddis, running back, Bibb County High School

The ball carrier had only five rushing attempts, but with 147 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-7 win against Carbon Hill.

Kerryon Johnson, Athlete, Madison Academy High School

The highly-touted prospect in the class of 2015 had a spectacular game Friday night in a 24-10 win against Lauderdale County. Johnson scored on touchdown runs of 30 and two yards. He had a 96-yard interception returned for a touchdown in the final minute of the game.

Montario Burchfield, wide receiver, Madison County High School

Burchfield had six receptions for 184 yards and a touchdown in a 35-14 win against North Jackson High School.

Cam Jackson, quarterback, Davidson High School

The signal caller rushed for 176 yards on 13 carries with one touchdown. He also completed 11-of-14 passes for 147 yards with another touchdown in a 31-3 win against Baker High School.

Parker Mason, quarterback, Gulf Shores High School

Mason had 22 carries for 252 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-38 loss to Faith Academy. He also completed 10-of-19 passes for 181 yards.

Jacob Wolkow, linebacker, Spain Park High School

Wolkow had 11 tackles on defense, an interception, one sack and a fumble recovery in a 27-20 win against Prattville High School.

Bo Scarbrough, running back, Northridge High School

The state's top 2014 prospect and Alabama commitment came up big in defeating Hillcrest High School, 23-15. Scarbrough rushed for 164 yards including a 30-yard touchdown. Northridge had a one point lead late in the game after a Hillcrest score. Scarbrough had six carries on the next drive for 85 yards including the final touchdown of the game.
