AlabamaVarsity Player of the Week: Nate Andrews, athlete, Fairhope High School

Andrews had a big night with 268 yards rushing (188 in in second half) and seven touchdowns in a 58-23 win against Northview High School.
Other top performances
Zac Cunningham, linebacker, Pinson Valley High School
Cunningham recorded 23 tackles, two sacks, five tackles for loss and an interception returned for a touchdown in a 40-14 win against Moody High School.
Austin Dempsey, cornerback, St. Jude High School
Dempsey had two special teams touchdowns with a 70-yard punt return and 61-yard kick-off return. He also intercepted a pass in a 26-21 win against Buckhorn High School.
Reuben Foster, linebacker, Auburn High School
The Rivals.com five-star Auburn commitment had 13 tackles, two sacks and four tackles for 32-23 win against Opelika High School. He also had 11 carries for 77 yards and three touchdowns.
Josh Freeman, Darius Jackson, McAdory High School
Freeman had 13 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble which was returned for a touchdown and two quarterback hurries. Jackson had 15 tackles and two interceptions. McAdory defeated Wenonah High School 13-0 for teh region championship.
Kyle Eriksen, running back, Providence Christian Academy
Eriksen had 12 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown in a 30-16 win against Houston Academy. He added four receptions for 91 yards on offense and had eight tackles on defense.
Brandon Butts, quarterback, Susan Moore High School
Butts completed 21-of-33 passing for 269 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown in a 35-26 win against New Hope High SChool.
Garrett Lewis, quarterback, Sipsey Valley High School
Lewis had four touchdown passes in a 47-27 win against American Christian. The win clinched Sipsey Valley's first-ever berth in the playoffs.
R.J. Dedrick, running back, Fairfield High School
Dedrick had 33 carries for 324 yards in a 16-14 loss to Central High School in Tuscaloosa. He added five tackles on defense.
Cedrix Reed, running back, Foley High School
Reed had 211 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a 34-29 win against Dothan High School. Reed's 65-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter took the lead for the Lions.
Blake Byrd, quarterback, Corner High School
Byrd completed 16-of-27 passes for 132 yards and 26 carries for 130 yards with three touchdowns in a 39-25 win against Bibb County High School.
Sheldon Dixon, defensive lineman, Calera High School
Dixon registered 19 tackles, four sacks and six tackles for loss in a 35-15 win over Jemison High School.
Jermarcus Brown, running back, Pickens County High School
Brown had 252 yards rushing and three touchdown runs in a 49-22 win against Berry High School. He also returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and added a 50-yard touchdown reception.
Marlon Page, running back, Notasulga High School
Page had 15 carries for 203 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-38 win against Wadley High School. He also returned a kickoff for a score.
Jason Smith, quarterback, McGill-Toolen Catholic School
Smith passed for 153 yards with three touchdowns and rushed for 120 yards with four touchdowns in a 50-21 win against Murphy High School.
Tyler Jackson, running back, Muscle Shoals High School
Jackson had 13 carries for 229 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-19 win against Cullman High School to clinch the region championship.
