Super Six: Plenty of prospects

There are plenty of underclassmen who are receiving national recognition who are playing in the Super Six state championships.
Marlon Humphrey, five-star cornerback from Hoover High School, is the top player in the state for 2014. He's the highest rated player in the state championships. He has helped the Bucs remain undefeated this fall. Humphrey has offers from just about every major program in the country. He'll have a lot of eyes on him Friday night.
Kerryon Johnson, running back from Madison Academy in Madison, projects as the state's top 2015 prospect. Johnson burst on the scene as a freshman. He was a star in the state championship game a year ago despite a loss. He has been sensational this fall. College coaches from across the country have already started expressing interest.
Jonathan Cook, three-star cornerback and Nebraska commitment from Spanish Fort High School, enters as the top senior prospect playing in the Super Six. Cook has registered seven interceptions this fall. He leads a stout defense and will also line up on offense at receiver.
Several underclassmen who have the size and athleticism to compete at the next level--Blake Bean, defensive end from Oneonta High School, Jalen Johnson, wide receiver from Oneonta High School, Jakell Mitchell, linebacker from Opelika High School, and Corey Thomas, defensive end from McAdory High School. Look for more to emerge this weekend.
Hoover has a pair of 2015 defensive players in defensive end Christian Bell and linebacker Darrell Williams. Both have started for the Bucs this fall. They are the cornerstones of the defense in the future.
UMS-Wright running back Troy Dixon has rushed for nearly 2,000 yards this fall. He has the opportunity to eclipse that mark this week. Another sophomore standout is Opelika offensive tackle Andrew Kyser. He is already receiving a lot of looks.
